Caracol Televisión proudly presents The Challenge 21st Century, a brand-new edition of Colombia’s most successful reality show, which has been testing the physical and mental limits of its contestants for over 20 years. Audiences are already hooked, their hearts racing with the thrilling challenges and unexpected twists in this revamped competition designed to revolutionize reality TV and push the 32 best challengers in the country to their absolute limits.

This will be the most epic season of the century—a century defined by innovation and those bold enough to make history.

The format, which has consistently delivered high ratings in each of its seasons, has also found success in international adaptations across countries like Mexico, the United States, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and Russia. 

On its premiere night in Colombia, The Challenge 21st Century reached an impressive 12.9 rating points and a 56.3% audience share. This season will spotlight the talents and personal stories of 32 contestants from different regions of the country.

This means that 8,754,895 viewers tuned in to the show, while its main competitor registered a 5.7% rating and a 25.0% share, according to data reported by Kantar Ibope. 

Sebastián Martino, Head of Major Formats at Caracol Televisión, shared: <<Our production uses 22 state-of-the-art robotic cameras, allowing us to capture high-quality footage from multiple angles with precision and flexibility. We also employ 14 broadcast cameras equipped with box lenses and super telephoto lenses, ideal for detailed close-ups and long-distance coverage. 

In addition, we’ve integrated super slow-motion cameras to capture every moment with stunning detail. All feeds are transmitted to a centralized digital master control room, where they are managed in real time to ensure a smooth, efficient, and fully integrated production that meets the highest technological standards in the industry>>, He added: <<More than 400 people work directly on The Challenge. The technical and games departments are the largest in terms of staffing. On location, over 270 people work daily, making efficiency and organization essential to keeping the shoot on track>>.
