The Grand Premiere of La Venganza de Analía: A Second Round for Justice Ranked Among the Top-Rated Shows

The successful series La Venganza de Analía: A Second Round for Justice premiered on Caracol Televisión’s primetime, bringing the fierce battle between Analía and Mejía to a whole new level. In this new installment, the plot intensifies with new twists and characters that will further complicate the life of its protagonist.

In the first part of the story, viewers were introduced to Analía Guerrero, a beautiful woman who sets out to take revenge on the man who killed her mother—Guillermo León Mejía, a presidential candidate and, as it turns out, her biological father. To achieve her goal, Analía prepares abroad and becomes a renowned and in-demand political strategist. Unaware of her true identity, Mejía hires her and makes her his right-hand woman. Once she positions him at the top of the polls, the brilliant and cunning analyst takes him down by exposing his corrupt past, ultimately sending him to prison.

On premiere night, the series—starring Carolina Gómez, Marlon Moreno, and George Slebi, with Paola Turbay in the antagonist role—reached a rating of 6.9 and a share of 34.8.

In this second season, the story picks up with Guillermo León Mejía behind bars, while Analía believes the time has come to find happiness with Pablo de la Torre, her great love and presidential candidate. However, Mejía, wounded in his pride, returns with even more hatred and, through a clever and unexpected move, manages to get out of prison and reenter the political scene. His goal is clear: to take revenge on Analía and fulfill his dream of becoming president.

To stop him and protect her loved ones, Analía will risk her life and face a new enemy: Paulina Peña, Mejía’s loyal ally and a professional assassin. At this point, Analía will have to be smarter and more strategic than ever to prevent Mejía from destroying her and taking over the country.

La Venganza de Analía is a series produced by CMO for Caracol Televisión, directed by Camilo Vega and Mónica Botero. It was written by Leonor Sardi and María Clara Torres, and features an outstanding cast including Juliana Galvis, Andrea Gómez, Edwin Maya, Ana Wills, Helena Mallarino, Viviana Santos, Felipe Calero, Ana María Sánchez, Alejandro Gutiérrez, Manuel Prieto, among others.

Juana Uribe, Caracol Televisión’s Vice President of Content, stated: “It’s not easy to create a second season that surprises audiences of a series so beloved by the public. In this new installment, the characters of La Venganza de Analía reveal different sides of themselves, showing the complexity of human nature. I’m sure viewers will be captivated.”

For Carolina Gómez, her character comes with many new elements this season: “We’ll see a different kind of conflict, where political power has shifted toward Pablo and Analía. We’ll meet an erratic Analía, where her calculated, strategic stoicism gradually fades. The biggest challenge will be accepting that control is an illusion and that new tools are needed to face this conflict. It’s all or nothing.”
She also shared her experience working with Paola Turbay: “It was a lot of fun—we’ve known each other for over 25 years. That allows us to play in a more intimate, judgment-free way, where everything goes. She’s open to new ideas and always brings her own to the table. We wanted to play up what the audience expects to see from us—the rivalry that people imagine exists, but really doesn’t.”

Marlon Moreno said his character, Guillermo León Mejía, will return with a new strategy: “It’s clear this man was ruthless and loveless. But his time in prison changed him. Now, he knows he must be a more astute politician—one who presents a kinder face, filled with remorse and a desire to contribute to the country through the second chances we all deserve as human beings.”

George Slebi, who plays Pablo de la Torre, added: “This season will continue delivering the twists and action the audience loves. But beyond entertainment, this show sheds light on the harsh realities of the political world in Latin America—a world driven by the thirst for power, by how far people are willing to go, and by the volatility of public opinion. La Venganza de Analía is not only a mirror of how politics are run, but also a reflection of its people—of all of us.”

Paola Turbay joins the cast as a villain who teams up with Marlon Moreno: “I accepted this role first because Paulina is such a dream character—she’s like a Nikita—and second, because I’d be working closely with Marlon Moreno. We make a very interesting pair, unlike any typical on-screen couple. It’s going to be explosive! Plus, I knew that working with Carolina Gómez guaranteed a high level of quality—she’s sharp, and I love her work. I felt really happy with this project, and I think the result will show, because everyone gave it their all.”
