Laughing around the world finished as #1 in its time slot

Laughing around the world wrapped its sixth season last night in Caracol Televisión’s prime time, closing with outstanding results. This fun entertainment format, originally created by Caracol Televisión, once again proved the formula that has made it a viewer favorite: taking top comedians and spectacular female hosts to explore the world, delivering laughter, adventures, and unforgettable moments.

During this season, more than 4 million viewers tuned in to the show, which ranked #1 in its time slot, outperforming its direct competitor with 42.6’% share and 6.8 rating points, according to Kantar Ibope Media.

New adventures, fresh talent, and— for the first time— Colombia as a destination for the travelers were among the major highlights of this new season of Laughing around the world.

As in previous editions, the show was hosted by Santiago Rodríguez, who this time took on a new role: he stepped away from being the pilot and became the chief cabin manager for the passengers. The set also received a refresh: the traditional airport waiting lounge was replaced with an airplane that “landed” in each destination visited throughout the season.

In this sixth season, the format featured six pairs made up of a comedian and a host, who experienced entertaining adventures in destinations such as Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Beijing, Shanghai, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Buffalo, South Africa, and Tanzania.

Across its various seasons, Laughing around the world surprises viewers with comedic situations: traveling on a tight budget, getting lost in cities where no one speaks Spanish, and facing the traditional food of each country. These and many other experiences have been part of the show’s journey, which season after season continues bringing families together in front of the television.
