Overview

Juan Apostol, this film is based on the life of the one who was the youngest of the apostles and the most loved by Jesus. His life is played by Mane de La Parra who is accompanied by Livia Brito as Mary of Nazareth, while Marjorie de Souza gives life to Mary Magdalene. The film was shot in the beautiful landscapes of Almería, in the Alcazaba and Vélez Blanco castles as well as in the Roman theater in Cartagena, with impeccable costumes specially made for the production and one of the best Latin American casts. The film begins with the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth where John was the only Apostle who witnessed it staying by Mary’s side. After the death of Jesus, the apostles spread around the world to preach the word of God, John chooses Asia Minor (Ephesus) and there he writes the Apocalypse and the Gospel according to Saint John considered by the Catholic Church as the most genuine one.
