A medical check-up reveals that Evaristo Conte De La Serra suffers from a terminal illness. He has a maximum of one year to go. All alone and with no heirs, Evaristo wonders who will run his companies and manage his fortune. He then decides to summon his relatives, whom he has not seen for 40 years, to read his last will and testament. When they arrive, they are informed of Evaristo’s sudden death and also of the game he designed to share out his fortune. The eccentric game consists of living together in his house for 12 months passing the tests they will be given as time goes bye. However, Evaristo is not actually dead. He is all the time around passing himself off as Candido, the gardener. Evaristo is helped by his three closest assistants (his employee, his legal representative and the administrator of his companies) whose mission will be to keep the order in the house as well as Evaristo’s secret. The three of them are the only ones that know his personality, whims and life-style. While closely watching his relatives, Evaristo, from his hideout, decides which tests he will set for his relations. With the faults and virtues of every member of the family, the Conte De La Serras will face up to the challenge of deciding whether they will compete against each other for the “late” millionaire’s fortune or strengthen their ties to become the close-knit family they have never been. The characters will have to live under the same roof and fight for the inheritance, being their real selves all they have for a weapon. (Pecados capitales).
