Only 60 minutes after taking off from Bogotá bound for Miami, flight 1503, amid turbulent weather and a failed hijacking attempt, crashes to the ground, resulting in a tragic toll of 140 passengers dead. Only 23 of the plane's occupants survive the horrific impact and quickly realize that, in addition to being lost, they seem doomed to remain indefinitely in the middle of an inhospitable jungle with no way to communicate with the outside world. The survivors, including the three criminals who attempted to hijack the flight, a medical student, a San Andresito merchant and his family, a computer genius, a rancher, an ecologist, a drug trafficker, an actress, one of the flight attendants, the pilot, and his wife, must learn to survive in the jungle and coexist under such adverse conditions with people they barely know.
