The second season of La Descarga, The Temple of Music, the innovative original format of Caracol Televisión, which brings together the best singers in the country in a spectacular musical show, returned to screens following the success of its first season.
Upon its premiere, it became #1 in prime time with a 9.6 rating and 41.4% share, surpassing its main competitor, which garnered 30.6% share and a 7.1 rating. Over 5 million Colombians tuned in to what was a great display of limitless talent.
In this second season, the Mentors—Marbelle, Gusi, Santiago Cruz, and Maía—are much more demanding. At their request, there will be no coexistence; the musical talent has been required to fully concentrate on their artistic preparation, to deliver a multi-genre show each night that the audience will never forget. The musical competition, hosted by Jessica Cediel and Carlos Calero, will award the winner 500 million pesos.

The show will have three key stages: All or Nothing, The Selection, and The Download. In the first phase, 100 professional singers will compete to convince the four Mentors to press the button and make them part of La Descarga. Only 44 participants will move on to the next stage.
In The Selection, the duel of the Mentors begins! In this phase, the 44 selected participants will perform in front of the Mentors, who must press the button to take the singer for their team. The first Mentor to do so will secure the contestant. This will form four teams of 11 participants each.
Finally, in The Download, the third stage, each night the 11 participants from each team will perform. Here, each Mentor will choose one artist to perform a duet and sing on Download Night. Once the 4 performers are selected, they will sing alongside their Mentor.
At the end of the episode, voting opens for the audience to choose their favorite performance. The winning selection will receive 25 million pesos.
The 100 best singers in the country, and 4 renowned mentors on stage, with the highest level of expectations, and an audience of over 5 million people will choose the new top talent in the country!
