Pedro Coral Returns to Colombia for the Premiere of Pedro El Escamoso: Más Escamoso Que Nunca

On a night full of surprises, Pedro Coral returned to Colombia to celebrate the premiere of Pedro El Escamoso: Más Escamoso Que Nunca.

Renowned figures joined the welcome celebration for Pedro, who returned to the country after 20 years as the central figure of the launch event for the sequel to the successful telenovela alongside the cast.

Pedro El Escamoso: Más Escamoso Que Nunca premieres on July 16 on Disney+ in Latin America and, in Colombia, also on Caracol Televisión.

On the night of Thursday, July 11, the launch event for Pedro El Escamoso: Más Escamoso Que Nunca took place at the Caracol Televisión studios in Bogotá, Colombia. This highly anticipated sequel to the hit Colombian telenovela will be released on July 16, with all episodes available on Disney+ across Latin America. In Colombia, it will also air on Caracol Televisión, Monday through Friday at 9:30 p.m.

In an atmosphere filled with excitement and a setting inspired by Pedro’s signature style, the launch event welcomed its lead actor, the renowned actor and producer Miguel Varoni, along with the cast of the new production, including Carlos Torres, Ana María Trujillo, Melanie Dell Olmo, Álvaro Bayona, Luz Estrada, Juan Carlos Arango, Andrea Guzmán, Marcela Mar, Laura Junco, Maria José Camacho, Carolina Serrano, Eduardo Pérez, Alisson Joan, Lorena García, Daniel Martínez, Maria José Delgado, and Francisco Chona. Artists and well-known public figures also graced the red carpet, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

With a packed venue, host Iván Lalinde welcomed all attendees and invited key figures to the stage, including Fernando Barbosa, SVP, General Manager Local Productions, Content Distribution & Acquisition of The Walt Disney Company Latin America; Dago García, VP of Production and Content at Caracol Televisión; and the series’ writer, Luis Felipe Salamanca, who shared a few words with the audience.

Later, Pedro Coral (Miguel Varoni) and his son, Pedro Jr. (Carlos Torres), surprised the guests with a fun sketch on stage.

Joining them later were Fernanda (Ana María Trujillo), Fernando Pastor (Álvaro Bayona), Enriquito (Juan Carlos Arango), and Aunt Elvira (Luz Estrada), who shared details about their characters, the new storyline, and their expectations for the upcoming premiere.

To close the event, Pedro invited Pedro Jr. and the audience to dance his iconic pirulino dance, leading into the night’s musical highlight featuring the renowned Colombian salsa orchestra, Fruko y sus Tesos.

Pedro El Escamoso: Más Escamoso Que Nunca tells the story of Pedro’s return to Colombia. After spending 20 years abroad, the beloved protagonist returns to his homeland only to find a reality completely different from the one he left behind when he was forced to seek new opportunities elsewhere. To his surprise, he discovers that his son has become a successful and accomplished professional. This forces Pedro to invent a series of stories to conceal his life of sacrifices and hardships, all in an effort to earn the respect and admiration of Pedro Junior.
