Over the past years, hooligans have become a synonym of social violence. Cities like Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla and Cali that have big football stadiums where regional classic matches are played have become scenarios of constant hooligan confrontations. Discovery and Caracol Television approach this phenomenon with the premier of documentary Violent Fans. The production shows how football passion and violence are mixed in this research program that infiltrates the most feared football hooligan gangs in Colombia to understand and discover the business behind the king of sports. A documentary that has the participation of specialists, leaders and hooligan groups members and other characters, whose testimonies and life stories show the need to look for urgent solutions for hooligan violence, a problem that goes beyond stadiums and increases every day.
